It genuinely floats. Magnetic levitation holds the upper module in the air with nothing touching it — you can pass your hand through the gap.

It takes about a minute. Plug in the base, place the upper module on the center point using the alignment card, and let go. Most people get it on the first or second try.

Yes. The magnetic field needs power, so it runs from the included USB-C cable while in use.
